Key Responsibilities
As a Storekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective warehouse operations and safeguarding WFP commodities. Your main duties will include:

Commodity Handling: Receive, dispatch, and manage transshipments (truck-to-truck) against official documentation (e.g., waybills, delivery notes), ensuring accurate physical counts and compliance with quality standards.

Documentation & Records: Prepare, verify, and sign warehouse and transport documents. Maintain accurate records and confidential files to ensure timely and reliable reporting on all commodity movements in line with corporate requirements.

Inventory & Reconciliation: Conduct daily warehouse reconciliations and inventory checks to support strong internal controls and compliance with warehouse management standards.

Inspection & Reporting: Carry out daily inspections of received and dispatched commodities. Document and analyze discrepancies, damages, or losses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Quality Assurance & Safeguarding: Implement preventive measures to protect food and non-food items, ensuring compliance with WFP’s quality control procedures and supervisor-approved authorizations.

Warehouse Management: Monitor warehouse conditions and optimize space utilization to ensure commodities are stored in line with WFP standards for efficiency and safety.

Team Support & Training: Provide guidance and on-the-job training to warehouse staff to strengthen their skills, foster continuous development, and ensure high performance.
Standard Minimum Academic Qualifications
- Education: Completion of secondary school education is required.
- Language: Fluency (level C) in the UN working language at the duty station, as well as in the local language (if different).

Tally Assistant

Key Responsibilities

Record and monitor the receipt and dispatch of commodities, including those undergoing internal milling, while promptly reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor in order to support accurate and efficient warehouse commodity management.

Ensure proper stacking practices and assist with regular physical inventory checks in line with established procedures and standards, to maintain compliance with internal control systems.

Prepare precise tally reports and ensure timely distribution of tally sheets to relevant stakeholders, thereby facilitating transparent and reliable tracking of all commodity movements in and out of storage.

Oversee warehouse cleaning following loading, unloading, and reconstitution activities, ensuring that WFP warehouse facilities consistently meet required standards.
