Mission and Objectives

Mission

Goodness and Mercy Missions (GMM) is dedicated to equipping men, women, youth, and vulnerable groups with the resources and opportunities they need to enhance their quality of life. Our aim is to ensure that marginalized, disadvantaged, and underserved individuals can lead lives of dignity and purpose. Since 2007, our core initiatives have included women’s economic empowerment, child sponsorship, accessible education for underprivileged children, computer and digital literacy training, as well as youth livelihood and vocational programs.

Context

Since 2007, GMM has leveraged the Internet to showcase its work and impact. Our activities are presented on our website and various social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X. Volunteers are not expected to work across all platforms; instead, they may choose those that best match their skills and interests. They will contribute to strengthening visibility and communication around GMM’s key projects—such as child sponsorship, women’s socio-economic empowerment, climate resilience, and environmental protection. The organization will provide all relevant information and materials needed to support the volunteer’s contributions.

Type of Assignment

Task Description

For more than a decade, GMM has supported rural communities in Cameroon by offering sustainable livelihood solutions to vulnerable populations. Our work spans child sponsorship, women’s economic empowerment, vocational and computer training, and initiatives that promote environmental protection and climate resilience.
Despite these long-standing efforts, many of our achievements remain insufficiently represented on our online platforms, limiting the visibility and influence of our programs. GMM is therefore seeking volunteers to help strengthen, structure, and enhance its digital presence. Volunteers will not directly manage the platforms but will provide strategic guidance on how best to optimize the website and social media channels—such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and X—to amplify the organization’s impact.

Required Experience

• Website development
• Social media management
• Marketing
• Writing and content creation

Languages

• English: Working knowledge (required)
• French: Fluent (desirable)

Volunteerism encompasses a broad spectrum of activities carried out freely and for the benefit of the public, where financial gain is not the primary motivation.
