Impact Santé Afrique (ISA) is an African non-governmental organisation based in Cameroon whose main objective is to contribute to the improvement of people’s health by implementing transformative and sustainable programmes that will save lives and improve the health of our communities (for more information, visit www.impactsante.org). Impact Santé Afrique (ISA) coordinates the global platform of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) for malaria elimination (CS4ME).
ISA is seeking a programs consultant based in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for its malaria and community health advocacy programme.
Job description and main responsibilities:
The programs consultant main responsibilities will be to:
- Develop, implement and monitor ISA’s advocacy activities
- Ensure the quality of advocacy activities and their timely execution;
- Contribute to and ensure reporting on advocacy activities
- Contribute and ensure reporting on advocacy activities
- Ensure engagement and follow-up of leaders’ actions for the malaria programme
- Ensure the development of communication and advocacy tools for the malaria programme
- Monitor and develop the partnership with local authorities
- Ensure that the advocacy objectives of ISA’s malaria programme are achieved
- Support and coordinate CSOs activities in the context of advocacy
- Prepare ISA advocacy activity reports including meeting reports
- Participate in ISA partner communication meetings
- Develop media relations to support ISA’s advocacy programmes
- Mobilise leaders to achieve ISA’s advocacy objectives
- Support programme communication activities
- Contribute to the preparation of ISA’s general, monthly, quarterly and annual activity reports
Qualifications :
- A Master’s degree in Communication, Advocacy, Social Sciences or a related field
- Excellent writing skills in English and good knowledge of French
- Computer literacy with possible advanced knowledge of Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint
- Ability to work autonomously and independently within deadlines
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation skills
- Team spirit Impact Santé Afrique (ISA),
- Flexible and able to work in a multicultural environment
- Fluency in English or French with good knowledge of the other language • Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English and French to produce professional documents to national and international standards and participate in discussions and debates
- A positive and dynamic attitude
