Eligibility
-
Must be a citizen of, or have been granted refugee status by, an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British protected person

Must be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country

PhD applicants must have a supporting statement from a potential supervisor at a UK university listed on their application form
-
Must be available to begin studies in the UK at the start of the academic year
-
Must provide all required supporting documents in the correct format on the Online Application System

Must be unable to afford to study in the UK without the scholarship
How to Apply for a UK Commonwealth Scholarship

PhD applicants: Obtain a supporting statement from a named supervisor in the UK

Submit your application via the Online Application System

Apply through the Ministry of Higher Education (nominating agency for Cameroon)

Must be ready to return to your home country immediately after completion of studies

Nomination by MINESUP does not guarantee selection; the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) nominates three times more candidates than available awards

CSC does not require an English language test, but UK universities may request proof of English proficiency
