GIST Scholarship Benefits

  • Monthly Living Allowance:

    1. 360,000 KRW (~270 USD) for Master’s students

    2. 515,000 KRW (~390 USD) for PhD students

    1. 6,400,000 KRW for Master’s

    2. 13,740,000 KRW for PhD

  • Housing Allowance: up to 185,000 KRW per month

Admission Requirements at GIST

To enroll in GIST’s Master’s or PhD programs, applicants must satisfy specific academic and language proficiency standards.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Master’s Program: A Bachelor’s degree (equivalent to 3 years or more of university study)

  • PhD Program: A Master’s degree or equivalent (5 years of higher education)

English Language Proficiency:

Applicants must submit valid scores from a recognized English test. Minimum accepted scores include:

  • TOEFL iBT: 80

  • TOEFL PBT: 550

  • IELTS Academic: 6.5

  • TOEIC: 750

  • NEW TEPS: 285

Scores must be no more than two years old at the time of application.
