Guillaume Dupaix International Master’s Scholarship – University of Luxembourg 2025/2026

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Research and Higher Education of Luxembourg have launched a prestigious excellence scholarship programme aimed at attracting high-potential international students. This initiative is embodied in the Guillaume Dupaix International Master’s Scholarship, which provides financial support to outstanding candidates wishing to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Luxembourg.

Purpose of the Guillaume Dupaix Scholarship

This scholarship programme is designed to:

• Enhance the appeal of higher education in Luxembourg,

• Attract top academic talent from around the world,

• Provide financial support to deserving international students, taking into account their socio-economic background.

Scholarship Amount and Duration

The Guillaume Dupaix Scholarship offers up to €10,000 per academic year, for a maximum duration of two years (i.e., a total of €20,000). This financial support is intended to help cover living expenses while studying in Luxembourg.

Important: Tuition fees are not covered by this scholarship and remain the responsibility of the student.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this merit-based scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be an international student, whether from an EU or non-EU country,

• Intend to enrol full-time in a Master’s programme at the University of Luxembourg,

• Have demonstrated outstanding academic performance during their Bachelor’s degree,

• Not be receiving State Financial Aid for Higher Education (formerly known as CEDIES),

• Not be enrolled in a Master’s programme that includes a mandatory semester or year abroad,

• Provide evidence of financial need that justifies the request for support.

Note: The Guillaume Dupaix Scholarship cannot be combined with other public financial aid schemes in Luxembourg or similar scholarships sponsored by private entities within the country.

Application Process

1. Review the admission requirements of your chosen Master’s programme on the official website of the University of Luxembourg.

2. Submit your application for the Master’s programme via the online portal: https://inscription.uni.lu

3. If you are pre-selected by the programme coordinator, you will receive a specific invitation to apply for the Guillaume Dupaix Scholarship. This invitation will include a direct link to the dedicated application form.

4. Prepare and submit a complete application by the indicated deadline.
