Helmut Veith Scholarship for Women at TU Wien in Austria 2024/2025
The VCLA (Vienna Center for Logic and Algorithms) has initiated a call for applications for the Helmut Veith scholarship. This scholarship is designed for highly motivated and outstanding female students contemplating admission to a master’s program in computer science at the Vienna University of Technology. The programs are conducted in English and are available for enrollment in either the winter semester of 2024/2025 or the summer semester of 2025. The application deadline for this call is November 30, 2024.
Benefits and Funding of the Helmut Veith Scholarship
- Annual Stipend and Tuition Fee Exemption: Successful candidates for the Helmut Veith scholarship in Austria will enjoy the following advantages:
- An annual stipend of 7,000 EUR, which is renewable for one additional year.
- Complete exemption from all tuition fees at TU Wien.
Eligibility Criteria for the Helmut Veith Scholarship
- Qualifications and Requirements: Female students, regardless of nationality, who fulfill the following conditions are encouraged to apply for the Helmut Veith scholarship:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or an equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate profound knowledge in mathematics and technology, along with an interest in at least one of the following research areas: Computer Science Logic, Formal Methods and Verification, Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Theory of Algorithms and Complexity, Computer Security.
- Exhibit proficiency in the English language.

- Master in Business Informatics

Application Process for the Helmut Veith Scholarship
To apply for the Helmut Veith scholarship, candidates are required to electronically submit their applications, along with all necessary documents, to anna.prianichnikova@tuwien.ac.at. Please use the subject line “Application” when sending your email. Ensure that all required documents are compiled into a single PDF file named “document.pdf.”
It’s important to note that the scholarship admission process operates independently of the master’s program selection. Therefore, a separate admission application for your chosen master’s program must be submitted. The application for various master’s programs at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) is exclusively accepted via postal mail, not through email or fax.
