The duration of the scholarship provided by the Indonesian government through the KNB program is tied to the length of the respective academic programs, as outlined below:

• Language proficiency course: The maximum duration for this course is 12 months.

• Bachelor’s degree: The maximum duration for completing a bachelor’s degree is 48 months, equivalent to 8 semesters.

• Master’s degree: The maximum duration for completing a master’s degree is 24 months, equivalent to 4 semesters.

• Doctorate degree: The maximum duration for completing a doctorate degree is 48 months, equivalent to 8 semesters.

Eligibility Requirements for the KNB Scholarship

Bachelor’s Degree:

  •  Applicants must be no older than 21 years of age.
  •  Must possess a high school diploma.
  •  Must achieve a minimum score on the English proficiency test as specified: TOEFL ITP 477, TOEFL IBT 53, IELTS 5.5, TOEIC 510, or equivalent. Individuals from English-speaking nations or those enrolled in English programs at universities are exempt from submitting English proficiency documents.
  •  Must be a citizen of a developing country.

Master’s Degree:

  • Applicants must be no older than 35 years of age.
  •  Must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
  •  Must achieve a minimum score on the English proficiency test as specified: TOEFL ITP 500, TOEFL IBT 61, IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 575, or equivalent. Individuals from English-speaking nations or those enrolled in English programs at universities are exempt from submitting English proficiency documents.
  •  Must be a citizen of a developing country.

PhD Program

  •  Applicants must be no older than 40 years of age.
  •  Must hold a master’s degree or its equivalent.
  •  Must achieve a minimum score on the English proficiency test as specified: TOEFL ITP 530, TOEFL IBT 71, IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 640, or equivalent. Individuals from English-speaking nations or those enrolled in English programs at universities are exempt from submitting English proficiency documents.
  •  Must be a citizen of a developing country.
