CLIENT DIRECTOR / DIRECTEUR DE CLIENTELE – CAMEROON

JOB SUMMARY:
A dynamic leadership position with significant growth potential. You will be accountable for nurturing and expanding relationships within your team’s client portfolio. This involves directly managing and maximizing value for the company’s largest client, while also leading and guiding a team of account managers to enhance value for their respective clients. As the primary point of contact for daily business operations, you will possess the ability to propose and implement innovative ideas and solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the P&L for your team.
ROLE DIMENSIONS:
CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS:
- Serve as the strategic liaison for senior clients, cultivating strong partnerships.
- Proactively develop and execute client strategies, consistently ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Lead and manage your team to guarantee they each possess robust account plans and client relationships.
BUILD & MANAGE CLIENT STRATEGY:
- Lead and implement client strategies detailed in each client’s account plan, ensuring alignment with their needs.
- Contribute to clients’ business growth by identifying new opportunities.
- Proactively pinpoint areas for performance improvement.
- Drive the creation and delivery of top-tier deliverables to clients.
REPORTING/COLLABORATING:
- Report essential P&L and performance data to your Line Manager, with dotted line reporting to the Group CD.
- Communicate challenges and opportunities to higher management.
- Collaborate with other internal teams to facilitate knowledge exchange and support overall business growth.
- Lead productive team meetings, generating comprehensive reports.
DRIVE BUSINESS REVENUE:
- Share client needs and feedback to help the entire client services team provide exceptional service.
- Oversee your team’s P&L and seek opportunities for growth through upselling, cross-selling, and new revenue streams.
- Prioritize expanding existing client relationships.
CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM:
- Manage a team of direct reports, including their Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and performance reviews.
- Provide leadership aligned with the agency’s values and raise concerns when issues arise.
- Ensure your team possesses the skills and training necessary for their roles.
- Manage the onboarding process for new team members.
- Actively exemplify the agency’s culture and values.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 7 years of experience serving as an Account Director within the Advertising sector.
- 3+ years in a Client Director role, showcasing a history of success.
- Fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communication, Management, or a related discipline is essential.
- Experience managing FMCG or Telco accounts, either from an agency or client perspective.
- A proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Experience overseeing advertising campaigns, demonstrating familiarity with various ad formats and keyword types.
