The Opportunity

In the role of Clinical Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to support clients and staff in preventing, assessing, treating, and monitoring mental health concerns. Your responsibilities will include providing evidence-based individual and group support sessions, collaborating closely with Social/Case Workers to manage and refer cases, including child protection cases and child survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.

Additionally, you will play a key role in promoting healthy behaviors and enhancing self-care among the staff of Plan International Cameroon. Creating a psychologically safe environment and fostering the growth and well-being of staff and clients from diverse backgrounds will be integral to your work. You will have autonomy in carrying out your duties as a Clinical Psychologist.

The Individual/About You

As the Clinical Psychologist, you should hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with eligibility for full registration and endorsement in Clinical Psychology, or be a licensed Psychologist. Strong communication skills in English and Pidgin Languages are required, along with proficiency in clinical psychological assessment, therapyand interview techniques for adult mental health consumers.
