Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Communications Assistant at the Cameroon Young Jurists Legal Resource Center (CYJULERC) in Yaounde. This is a full-time on-site position that involves managing press releases, both external and internal communications, as well as contributing to strategic communication efforts on a daily basis.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in crafting press releases, communication strategies, and proficient writing
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to multitask effectively, work independently on projects, and collaborate seamlessly as part of a team
- Organizational and Project Management
- Strong organizational skills, project management capabilities, and effective planning abilities
- Previous experience in strategic communications and internal communication is highly desirable
- Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
- While experience in a nonprofit or legal environment is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement
- Language Proficiency
- Proficient in both French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
