DIGITAL DIRECTOR – CAMEROON
REPORTING TO: Managing Director
JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Digital Director to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate possesses extensive expertise in digital media strategy and a proven history of successfully managing client projects, particularly within the FMCG, Telco, and Financial Service industries.
The Digital Director will be responsible for leading a team of digital planners and cultivating robust strategic partnerships with the agency’s clients and other stakeholders. We are in search of an individual who is culturally aware, embraces innovative thinking, and is passionate about addressing client business challenges.
ROLE DIMENSIONS:
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
- In-depth experience and technical understanding of PPC, Paid Social, Programmatic, Affiliates, Mobile & SEO
TOOLS:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Digital tools
STRATEGY:
- Proven ability to develop and execute paid strategies, KPIs, and reporting frameworks
LEADERSHIP:
- Experience leading a team of Digital planners and ensuring high-quality output
NEW BUSINESS:
- Capacity to secure new business for the agency based on its Digital offerings
SENIOR MANAGEMENT:
- Collaborate effectively with the Managing Director and other Leadership Team members to define and realize the agency’s core vision and values
- Maintain appropriate communication with the Group functional Director to guarantee seamless planning & execution
INDUSTRY:
- Remain current on the latest updates concerning tools and platforms (Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) as well as industry trends
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATION & CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or Media
- 7+ years of experience in a senior Digital role, either client-side or agency-side
- Must be fluent in both English & French
- A demonstrated history of exceptional professional accomplishments is essential
- Experience managing a high-performing team
Certifications:
- AdWords (Required)
- Google Analytics (Required)
- Facebook Blueprint Certification
- GTM (Preferred)
- YouTube/Video (Preferred)
Other Qualities:
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated individual eager to contribute to the growth of a dynamic business
- Ability to manage and expand the team’s Digital capabilities
- Strong client relationship builder
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and maintain composure under pressure
- Deep understanding of touchpoint and media principles, with strong opinions on Digital
- Confidence in writing and presenting compelling Digital strategies
- Genuine interest in people and how they engage with Digital content
- Exceptional knowledge of standard Digital tools, surveys, and the ability to derive insights from data
