About the Role:

Maersk is seeking a FinOps Agent Trainee to join our Douala team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Customer Invoicing: Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of customer invoices.
• Supplier Invoices: Recording supplier invoices, handling exceptions, and managing the workflow.
• Interface Reconciliation: Performing timely reconciliations between different operating platforms and resolving interface errors.
• Contribution Margin Transparency: Creating transparency for the contribution margin on various levels (job, shipment, material).
• Dispute Resolution: Handling disputes with both suppliers and customers.
• Compliance: Implementing and monitoring control and compliance processes according to company policies.
• Process Improvement: Identifying and suggesting improvements to processes and systems to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Your Profile:

We are looking for someone with:

• Educational Background: A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Taxation.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and French (oral and written) is required.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of SAP is an advantage, along with proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to solve problems and identify root causes.
