Job Title: Power Systems Engineer
Summary:
The Power Systems Engineer is a key technical leader responsible for the design, optimization, and maintenance of our electrical power infrastructure. This role ensures our facilities operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with industry standards while minimizing operational costs.
Core Responsibilities:

Power System Design & Implementation:
- Engineer and evaluate power systems for new and existing facilities, ensuring alignment with operational needs and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee proof-of-concept (POC) testing for innovative power solutions that reduce operational expenses (OPEX).
- Collaborate with procurement and installation teams on the selection and implementation of power equipment (generators, rectifiers, alternative energy systems, etc.).

Operational Efficiency & Cost Reduction:
- Analyze power audit data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for site upgrades or stabilization.
- Drive OPEX optimization through best-in-class power dimensioning analyses and recommendations.
- Research and implement cost-effective electrical designs and maintenance practices.
- Launch check audits to ensure optimal utilization of deployed power solutions.

Technical Leadership & Support:
- Provide expert technical guidance to regional teams and contractors on power-related issues and escalations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all power solutions and projects.
- Mentor and develop team members to foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other Project Managers on power-related aspects of their projects.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Review power audit reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, international standards, and regulatory requirements in all power-related activities.
- Conduct random site checks to verify compliance with company power standards.
- Investigate root causes of repeated power faults and propose corrective strategies.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.
- Proactively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Director of Technical Operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or an MBA is highly desirable.

Experience:
- 10+ years of demonstrated expertise in telecommunications power infrastructure engineering and project management.
- A proven track record of successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
- Extensive knowledge of power systems design, implementation, and optimization within the telecommunications industry.
- Experience with a variety of power technologies, including generators, rectifiers, and renewable energy solutions.
