Job Opportunity: Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) Assistant
Overview
Plan International Cameroon is seeking a Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) Assistant to support the implementation of cash assistance projects under the guidance of the CBT Supervisor. This role is essential in adhering to strategic directions and programmatic standards established by Plan International Cameroon and the World Food Programme (WFP).
Key Responsibilities
As a CBT Assistant, your primary duties will include:
- Managing and Supervising Staff: Oversee day laborers and relays involved in distribution activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Payment Preparation: Prepare payment files for CBT agents and facilitate their mobilization for timely payments.
- Supervision of Distributions: Oversee distributions at sales outlets to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure program participants adhere to the distribution circuit and that all agents follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) during distributions.
- Reporting: Compile and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports for submission to the CBT Supervisor.
You will collaborate closely with the project team, finance team, and various partners to ensure successful project execution.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a qualified individual who possesses:
- A University Degree (Bac+2) in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development, Project/Program Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cash-based assistance projects, demonstrating a strong understanding of cash transfer initiatives.
- Expertise in planning, programming, and monitoring/evaluation procedures specific to CBT food assistance projects.
- Knowledge of beneficiary selection criteria and community targeting methodologies.
