Job Overview
As a Territory Sales Coordinator at MTN Cameroon, your primary mission is to execute our sales strategy in your assigned territory. This involves driving growth by ensuring the availability and sales of MTN products while leading all Points of Sale (POS) to meet set sales targets. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for implementing retail strategies and managing trade marketing investments within your designated area.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Market Execution
- Implement a retail-focused market strategy for your assigned partners.
- Deploy sales initiatives—visibility, merchandising, loyalty programs, and advocacy—to increase revenue across all POS.
- Ensure consistent product availability at retail, wholesale, and POS levels.
- Drive achievement of key sales performance indicators (KPI), such as sales growth, product stock levels, and MoMo services engagement.
Partner & POS Management
- Guide Distribution Partners on compliance with local regulations and telecom sector standards.
- Monitor and evaluate POS, partner, and wholesaler performance, implementing targeted solutions to meet sales goals.
- Execute various retail and distribution channel programs, ensuring the brand’s visibility and leadership in the territory.
- Manage the performance and training of partners’ staff, focusing on mobile financial services (MFS).
Operational Support & Reporting
- Develop short-term action plans to support distributors in achieving their targets.
- Consolidate data for merchandising and visibility materials.
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, competitor activities, and market intelligence.
- Monitor brand presence, POS performance, and overall product visibility within the territory.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Deep understanding of telecommunication regulations and business operations in Cameroon.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver on tight deadlines.
- Excellent reporting and analytical skills for tracking KPI trends and competitor activities.
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum of a 3-year university degree in Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in the local language is preferred.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in Sales, Fintech, Trade Marketing, and Merchandising.
- Experience in supervising teams or managing third-party stakeholders is a plus.
- Proven experience working within a medium-sized organization.
- Background in budgeting and demand planning is desirable.
