Key Responsibilities
As an Auditor for Financial Operations, you will support the execution of various internal audit tasks, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency across MTN Cameroon. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting Senior Auditors: Collaborate with Level 3 auditors and managers to execute audit plans related to regulatory compliance, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Conducting Audits: Actively participate in audits focusing on areas of high priority, including data analysis, system reviews, and risk assessments.
- Data and System Analysis: Analyze audit data for weaknesses in internal controls, identify risks, and provide management with actionable recommendations.
- Utilizing eGRC Systems: Perform audits using the eGRC system, ensuring timely updates and alignment with internal audit methodologies.
- Data Analytics Integration: Use CAATS and data analytics to support audit procedures, particularly in planning and control testing.
- Project Reporting: Report on audit progress, escalate issues, and contribute to the development of final audit reports for management.
- Compliance Audits: Ensure compliance in capital projects and investments, reporting any deviations from established internal control processes.
- Follow-up on Audit Recommendations: Ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations to improve business operations.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Audit, or Finance (minimum of 3 years)
- Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CISA are highly advantageous
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is a plus
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in Financial and Operational Audits, preferably within a Big 4 Audit Firm
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with data analytics tools such as ACL, Power BI, NLP/RPA is a distinct advantage
Core Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Internal Audit methodologies, IFRS, SYSCOHADA standards, and local laws such as the Cameroon Finance Law and Telecom Act
- Proficiency in Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Expertise in Project Management and Stakeholder Management
- Ability to manage complexity, conflict, and ambiguity
- Strong integrity, innovation, and team collaboration skills
