Role Overview: Coordinator – Training and Channel Effectiveness
This position plays a vital role in driving training excellence across our Sales and Distribution (S&D) teams. You will design, deliver, and evaluate training programs that ensure optimal productivity and effectiveness across internal and external sales channels. Your key mission is to equip our teams with the necessary skills to excel, aligning with our business objectives and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Delivery:
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance productivity and performance across the Sales organization, ensuring our teams are proficient in products, systems, and applications.
- Lead the Retail Academy Program to train sales teams (internal and external) and sales support personnel, delivering ongoing development initiatives.
- Create and maintain a learning infrastructure that supports continuous development for the sales force, ensuring all training materials are current and responsive to updates in regulations, product changes, and best practices.
- Manage the online learning center, providing up-to-date training resources for both internal and external sales teams.
- Assess training needs periodically in collaboration with Marketing, Mobile Money, HR, and Customer Service departments to ensure the effectiveness and relevance of training content.
- Coordinate and execute business operations training for various regions, managing delivery, resource allocation, and follow-ups to ensure effective learning.
- Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of training through regular assessments, surveys, and performance reviews, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with channel effectiveness coordinators, ensuring alignment with business objectives and continuous improvement in sales effectiveness.
Compliance and Process Management:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards regarding training, conducting regular reviews to stay aligned with industry regulations.
- Participate in audit processes related to S&D procedures, acting as the main point of contact (SPOC) for audits with other departments.
- Monitor and improve procedural understanding across departments, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Manage operational standards for Sales and Distribution, ensuring that any changes or transformations align with management goals and meet company standards.
Qualifications Overview
Education:
- A minimum of a 3-year degree in Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Sales Management, Marketing, or a related field is required.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of management experience within a medium to large organization.
Key Competencies
Functional Expertise:
- In-depth understanding of the MTN business environment, including knowledge of MTNC policies, processes, and distribution practices.
- Solid grasp of business priorities and basic legal knowledge.
- Expertise in risk management, business impact analysis, and statistical modeling, including multivariate analysis.
- Proficiency in data mining, predictive analytics, and advanced techniques like market basket analysis and forecasting.
- Knowledge of key MTNC and MTN Group stakeholders.
- Familiarity with optimization techniques, including dynamic optimization.
- Skilled in reporting and performance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills (including VBA), along with strong database knowledge, particularly in Oracle SQL.
- Awareness of blockchain applications such as smart contracts and DApps.
- Proficiency in predictive analytics and AI-driven personalization.
