We are specifically looking for a highly skilled Data Analyst to manage our data systems and reporting infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. This role will be pivotal in collecting and analyzing business data to inform strategic decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Strategic Projects.
Core Responsibilities:
- Data Acquisition & Management: Source data from various channels, maintain databases, and ensure data quality through rigorous QA processes.
- Data Analysis & Interpretation: Utilize statistical techniques to analyze data, derive insights, and communicate findings effectively.
- Strategy & System Development: Design and implement data collection systems, analyses, and strategies to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Confidentiality & Compliance: Process sensitive data adhering to strict guidelines and industry best practices.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive reports and analyses for informed decision-making.
- Reporting Environment Management: Design and oversee the reporting environment, ensuring data source integrity, security, and metadata management.
- Training & User Support: Provide end-user training on new reports and dashboards, promoting data literacy and effective tool utilization.
- Data Integrity & Normalization: Champion initiatives to maintain data integrity and normalization across systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or equivalent role.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Risk Assessment: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and assess potential risks.
- Software Evaluation & Recommendation: Analyze existing tools and databases, and provide recommendations for software solutions.
- Business Requirement Translation: Effectively translate complex business requirements into non-technical language for diverse audiences.
- Large-Scale Database Management: Proven expertise in managing large-scale databases using best practices and industry-standard methodologies.
- Data Handling & Relational Databases: Demonstrated experience in handling large datasets and working with relational databases.
- Data Standards: Strong understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
