Description
The Jetty Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations at the jetty, ensuring the timely and safe delivery of cargo and personnel. This role requires an individual with a track record of successful leadership and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily loading and unloading of cargo and personnel at the jetty
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards established by the company and regulatory agencies
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including shipping agents and government agencies
- Manage schedules, logistics, and staffing to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity
- Conduct regular inspections of the jetty and equipment to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to jetty operations
- Oversee the training and development of team members to ensure compliance with company procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in marine logistics, port operations or a related field
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
