Missions and Responsibilities
The Logistics Assistant ensures the programming and coordination of the logistics activities of the INTERSOS base in Bamenda:

- Responsible for procurement procedures (contracts, quotes, quality and price evaluations) for goods and services according to INTERSOS and donor requirements.
- Negotiate, monitor and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
- Conduct market assessments and update the list of suppliers in coordination with the logistics coordinator and the administrative/financial department.
- Process vehicle service requests and ensure that the fleet is checked and maintained regularly.
- Monitor fuel consumption limits and use of vehicle logbook, service logbook, oil logbook and other fleet formats and models. Calculate personal fuel consumption usage.
- Ensure vehicles are insured accordingly and report any incidents on a monthly basis.
- Ensure proper documentation of the vehicle lease, insurance, identification, mechanical inspection, etc.
- Conduct a monthly physical inventory of all IT-related assets.
- Conduct a quarterly physical inventory of assets and furniture.
- Responsible for proper maintenance and monitoring of office assets and equipment such as air conditioning, laptops, printers, etc.
- Ensure regular liaison with the administrative department and the logistics coordinator.
- Monitor guest house requirements and necessary maintenance on a weekly basis and follow up with expats.
- Organize induction for new staff on Car SOPs and the use of INTERSOS assets.
- Act as a logistics focal point in Bamenda.
- Perform any other related duties requested by management.
Job Requirements
- Education Diploma or professional training in logistics
- Experience Have a qualification and professional experience in humanitarian NGO logistics
- Language English and French
Knowledge
- Mastery of the computer tool MS Office Complete environment,
- General Principles of Automotive Mechanics, Basic Knowledge of Customs Clearance and Transportation, Principles of Inventory, Supply and Fleet Management
