Job Advertisement: Programs Assistant at Africa Eye Foundation – MICEI, Cameroon (Obok)
Position Overview:
The Africa Eye Foundation, an international NGO, is expanding its operations to better serve its community. We are currently seeking a Programs Assistant to join our team at the Magrabi ICO Cameroon Eye Institute (MICEI), located in Obok, along Okola Road.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Development team to prepare program documents, including work plans, budgets, reports, and proposals related to program implementation.
- Compile and submit reports on program activities, progress, and outcomes, ensuring accurate tracking of results.
- Assist in the creation of program evaluation tools, methods, and techniques to assess the effectiveness of various programs.
- Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to support the preparation of program documents, guidelines, and other required materials.
- Maintain organized records and track resources mobilized, reporting on progress both internally and to donors.
- Organize and process correspondence and documents, maintaining both hardcopy and digital files of important materials while ensuring confidentiality.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate meetings, events, and workshops.
- Provide administrative support to the programs team, ensuring seamless organization of events and internal meetings.
- Collaborate with different departments to support organizational growth and ensure patient satisfaction.
Candidate Profile and Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or a related field is required. Additional training in administration, office management, or a similar discipline is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, with a focus on project management or a related area.
- Strong ability to interpret program policies, plan, organize, and execute tasks independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams at all levels.
- Time management skills and the ability to communicate clearly and maintain positive relationships with staff, donors, and the public.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard computer software.
- Ability to adapt priorities and schedules to meet dynamic needs.
