About Plan International
Plan International is a global development and humanitarian organization dedicated to promoting children’s rights and advancing gender equality for girls. We believe every child has unique potential, often constrained by poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination. Girls, in particular, face heightened challenges that require targeted interventions.
With over 85 years of commitment, we collaborate with children, youth, supporters, and partners to create lasting change. Our mission spans 80+ countries, working to protect children from birth through adulthood, especially during crises. By influencing policies at the local, national, and global levels, we strive to address the root causes affecting vulnerable children.
Our mission is clear: we won’t stop until every child has equal opportunities and protection from harm.
