About the Role

Senior Relationship Manager – Malaysian Large Corporates

RHB Banking Group is currently looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Senior Relationship Manager – Malaysian Large Corporates to join his team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and service an assigned portfolio of corporate loans, focusing on accounts with lower complexity and smaller exposure.
  • Deepen client relationships by proactively addressing business needs, ensuring target RAROC levels are met in line with the agreed business plan.
  • Source and develop new corporate relationships to expand GCB’s balance sheet and profitability.
  • Conduct timely reviews of the assigned portfolio to maintain credit quality.
  • Monitor market developments and account performance, promptly addressing adverse news or unsatisfactory conduct that may impact borrowers’ credit standing, and implement strategies to mitigate potential losses.
  • Coordinate with internal divisions to ensure seamless service delivery and strengthen client loyalty.
  • Resolve client issues and complaints efficiently, upholding high service standards to drive satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain regular client engagement to stay informed of market trends and developments (“first-to-know” approach).
  • Participate in account planning with the Client Coverage Team and collaborate with product partners to optimize client profitability.
  • Act as the Group Corporate Banking liaison for the assigned portfolio, managing cross-selling initiatives and engaging with external stakeholders to increase product penetration.
  • Facilitate cross-referrals to other business units across the RHB Group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in corporate and/or investment banking within a reputable financial institution.
  • Preferably a Certified Credit Professional or holder of Omega’s Credit Skills Assessment (CSA).
  • Strong credit analysis, structuring, and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability in business development, marketing, and negotiation.
  • Highly driven, well-organized, and adept at building and maintaining client relationships.
