About Plan International
Plan International is a global, independent development and humanitarian organisation committed to advancing children’s rights and achieving gender equality for girls. We believe in the unique potential of every child, but recognise that this potential is often hindered by poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination—especially for girls.
Working in partnership with children, youth, supporters, and collaborators, we strive to create a fairer world by addressing the root causes of the challenges facing girls and vulnerable children. Our work spans from early childhood through to adulthood, empowering children to thrive and equipping them to face adversity and respond to crises.
Through our global presence and deep expertise, we influence policy and practice at local, national, and international levels to drive sustainable change.
For more than 85 years, we have brought together passionate advocates and change-makers, impacting the lives of children across more than 80 countries.
We are driven by a shared ambition: we won’t stop until equality is a reality for every child.
