Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with users to identify issues by asking targeted questions, ensuring accurate diagnosis of root causes and understanding users’ technical comfort levels.
  • Analyze and resolve complex and non-standard technical problems, including escalations from other team members.
  • Act as a primary or secondary point of contact for user support, coordinating with relevant resources to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics across multiple systems, platforms, and technologies.
  • Maintain and support end-user environments, including hardware configuration, software installation, troubleshooting, patch management, and system monitoring.
  • Contribute to office administration tasks such as vendor coordination, facilities support, and participation in security and business continuity initiatives.
  • Assist in the deployment, maintenance, and upgrading of local networks and communication systems.
  • Share knowledge on recurring technical issues and provide updates to staff.
  • Monitor trends in support requests and proactively escalate recurring issues when necessary.
  • Apply technical expertise with limited supervision and handle routine decisions while keeping supervisors informed.
  • Recommend and deliver IT training sessions to staff, promoting awareness and adoption of available tools and technologies.
  • Evaluate and test new hardware and software solutions before implementation.
  • Stay current with emerging IT trends and continuously enhance technical knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with information security standards, organizational policies, and technology guidelines to protect system integrity.
  • Support the adoption of new technologies through training and on-site guidance.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
  • Solid understanding of IT environments, including Windows platforms, Microsoft Office, servers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Strong technical support skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and networking technologies (LAN/WAN).
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks, particularly ITIL best practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, Azure DevOps, and ServiceNow.
  • Ability to manage Agile workflows, including backlog updates and configuration of boards, analytics, and queries in Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in Power BI dashboards and workflow automation tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including AI-powered features such as Copilot.
  • Experience with videoconferencing systems and remote support technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and solutions.
  • Understanding of the World Bank Group’s mission and operational environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.

Preferred Certifications

ITIL Foundation, Scrum, Azure DevOps, Power BI / Power Apps / Power Automate
