Are you passionate about environmental conservation and eager to make a real difference? The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Cameroon is looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our team.

We are currently inviting applications for our Youth Internship Programme at the WWF Cameroon Country Office. We’re seeking a Communication Intern who is motivated to contribute to meaningful environmental initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Aged between 21 and 30

  • Must be a national resident

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication

  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience

  • Available for a full-time one-year internship

 Position: Communication Intern

  • Location: Campo, Cameroon
  • Type: Professional Internship (Full-time, 1 year)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in digital communications, including:

    1. Social media management

    2. Content creation

    3. Website publishing

  • Proficiency in both English and French, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong alignment with WWF’s core values: Courage, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration.
  • Advanced writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in communication tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar.
  • Skilled in content creation across various media: text, graphics, and video.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), SEO best practices, and Google Analytics 4.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Creative, proactive, and deeply motivated by conservation and environmental issues.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Climate Change, Social Sciences, or a related field.

  • At least 6 months of professional experience in:

  • Climate change adaptation initiatives
  • Innovative or climate-resilient income-generating activities (IGAs)
  • Willingness and ability to live in rural environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in complex or sensitive stakeholder settings.
  • Fluent in English or French (proficiency in both is an asset).
  • Capacity to respond quickly and effectively under pressure.
  • Commitment to sustainable development and biodiversity conservation.
