Job Posting: Monitoring and Evaluation Mentor, SAFECARE Project – SHAC SHWARI HEALTH ASSOCIATION Cameroon, Yaoundé or Bertoua
Position Announcement
Shwari Health Cameroon is a locally recognized organization dedicated to delivering high-quality, effective, and innovative evidence-based solutions to tackle health system challenges within Cameroon’s healthcare sector, with a particular emphasis on children and adolescents. Shwari Health Cameroon employs established community-based approaches to identify HIV-positive children and adolescents, link them to healthcare facilities for treatment initiation, and provide ongoing support to ensure they remain engaged in care and achieve viral suppression. Our mission is to be a leading implementation science association in Cameroon, utilizing evidence-based strategies to bridge the ‘Know-Do’ gap in healthcare service delivery. We aim to accomplish this by applying contemporary methods of evidence generation and synthesis to understand operational contexts, thereby developing strategies that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of implementation efforts.
In collaboration with Georgetown University’s Center for Global Health Practice and Impact (CGHPI) and the Government of the Republic of Cameroon’s Regional Technical Groups (RTGs), SHWARI Health Association will be executing a project titled SAFECARE-Cameroon. This project, funded by CDC/PEPFAR, spans five years and aims to establish, implement, and sustain comprehensive facility and community-based HIV services for children, adolescents, and adults in PEPFAR-supported regions of Cameroon, contributing to the national effort to accelerate progress toward HIV epidemic control.
As part of this initiative, SHWARI Health Association Cameroon (SHAC) is recruiting for several key positions to support program implementation. Fluency in French and a working knowledge of English are required for all applicants. These positions will be based in Yaoundé or Bertoua.
