Claims Analyst Assistant

  • Location: Douala
  • Contract Type: Fixed-term (CDD)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to the Customer & Claims Department in handling, tracking, and analyzing life insurance claims.
  • Contribute to enhancing service quality, preventing fraud, and streamlining claims management processes.

Core Duties

  • Maintain and monitor the claims register.
  • Record and process claims (accident, hospitalization, death).
  • Handle customer complaints and requests.
  • Verify the accuracy and compliance of supporting documentation.
  • Process claims payments or rejections using business applications.
  • Prepare dashboards and activity tracking reports.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong command of data analysis, reporting, and presentation tools.
  • Experience with claims and management systems.
  • Solid understanding of life insurance contract mechanisms.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and summarization abilities.

Additional Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience in claims handling or life insurance analysis is an advantage.
  • Bilingual (English/French).

Profile

  • Minimum: 2 years of higher education in Insurance, Law, Risk Management, or Finance.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Customer & Claims Department with the operational monitoring and analysis of life insurance policies sold through banking partners.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving customer relations and claims management in collaboration with banks.

Core Duties

  • Evaluate the financial performance of bancassurance products before launch.
  • Receive, analyze, and process bancassurance claims.
  • Oversee end-of-career benefits for clients.
  • Track service quality indicators (e.g., response time, claims turnaround, complaints).
  • Prepare and present activity reports for internal use and banking partners.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
  • Knowledge of life insurance and bancassurance frameworks.
  • Strong regulatory awareness.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize information clearly.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in customer service, insurance claims, or back-office operations is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/French).

Profile

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and personalized support to customers.
  • Provide clear information about products and services.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Prepare and issue insurance contracts.

Core Duties

  • Monitor requests and ensure timely processing.
  • Address customer and agent complaints promptly.
  • Record and validate customer requirements.
  • Ensure issuance of insurance policies (motor, travel, and other authorized products).
  • Oversee the monthly transfer of POOL TPV files to the technical team.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of insurance products.
