Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Product Owner to join our agile development team. In this role, you will be a key driver in shaping our product strategy, managing the product development lifecycle, and ensuring successful project delivery. Your ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, translate requirements into actionable user stories, and champion the product vision will be essential to our continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and analyze their needs, translating them into clear user stories and backlog items.
• Agile Development Collaboration: Partner closely with the development team to ensure a shared understanding of requirements, providing guidance on scope and priorities.
• Acceptance Criteria and Review: Work with the development team to define acceptance criteria and review completed work, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor team progress, provide regular status updates, and ensure transparency in project tracking.
• Backlog Management: Prioritize and refine the product backlog, aligning it with business objectives and ensuring optimal value delivery.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, gathering feedback and adapting the product based on user insights.
• Project Management: Oversee end-to-end project management, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must-Have:
  1. Technical background with a strong command of English and French (reading, writing, speaking).
  2. 4+ years of experience in a comparable role within a fast-paced, scale-up environment, preferably in the fintech or startup space.
  3. Proven track record as a Business Analyst/Product Owner.
  4. Deep understanding of agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
  5. Solid knowledge of product management practices.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Nice-to-Have:
  1. Certified Product Owner (CSPO) or similar agile certification.
  2. Background in software development and project management.
  3. Knowledge of customer payments and data needs.
