Roles & Responsibilities
Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop comprehensive project plans detailing scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Establish detailed schedules and milestones to effectively monitor and track project progress.
Budget Management:
- Estimate project costs, prepare and manage budgets, and oversee financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Control project expenditures by approving spending and forecasting costs to project completion.
Resource Allocation:
- Efficiently allocate resources (personnel, materials, and equipment) to meet project goals.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and devise mitigation strategies.
- Implement measures to minimize risks and resolve issues as they arise.
Quality Control:
- Set quality standards and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and quality assurance activities to uphold high workmanship standards.
Communication and Reporting:
- Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Contract Management:
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with vendors and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage change orders efficiently.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Comply with environmental regulations and advocate for sustainable construction practices.
Team Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead project teams by assigning tasks and offering guidance and support.
- Motivate team members to achieve project objectives and promote a collaborative work culture.
Problem Solving and Decision Making:
- Resolve conflicts, address issues, and make decisions to keep projects on track.
- Anticipate potential problems and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Documentation and Administration:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reports.
- Manage administrative tasks such as permits, licenses, and project close-out procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate project performance and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Apply lessons learned from previous projects to improve future project outcomes.
Candidate Profile:
- Civil engineering degree (Master’s level), with PMP certification being an added advantage.
- Over 10 years of experience in technical project management, scheduling, and coordination of civil engineering projects in the industrial sector.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, Robot/CBS, etc.
- Experience in industrial projects is essential.
- Fluently bilingual.
