SMECreditPro operates as a digital lender specializing in micro loans tailored for small businesses and merchants, aimed at fostering their growth and success. Currently, we are seeking Sales/Account Managers to join our Douala office.

The Sales/Account Manager role involves acquiring and managing clients, encompassing micro, small, and medium-sized businesses across formal and informal sectors. Responsibilities include assessing the creditworthiness of potential customers to expand SMECreditPro’s loan portfolio in Cameroon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition: Present, promote, and sell SMECreditPro’s products to both existing and potential clients in various sectors such as e-commerce, consumer goods, healthcare, and financial services.
  • Client Engagement: Manage current client relationships, evaluate loan applications, and make timely decisions on approvals or rejections within established guidelines. Proactively reach out to leads through cold calling to establish and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Loan Portfolio Growth: Meet monthly commercial targets by supporting the evaluation, authorization, and approval of loans. Ensure compliance with KYC documentation requirements and regulatory standards set by SMECreditPro.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3 to 7+ years of experience in a commercial role, preferably within Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Management Consulting, or Business Development in the financial services sector.
  • Strong selling, communication, and negotiation skills, with comprehensive knowledge of the underwriting process from application to disbursement and collections.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, management, or a related business discipline.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented, with proven ability to manage client relationships and achieve commercial milestones.
  • Exceptional customer engagement skills and a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience, irrespective of credit decisions.
  • Strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills in a performance-driven environment where KPIs drive success.
  • Attention to detail and analytical prowess, enabling accurate assessment of credit risks and informed decision-making.
