About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and diligent professional in warehouse management and logistics. The Warehouse Officer will be responsible for maintaining inventory stock, fulfilling client orders, coordinating deliveries, ensuring the quality and monitoring the condition of stored grains. This role will involve close collaboration with the production manager, as well as recruiting and supervising seasonal staff. The ideal candidate thrives in an organized, independent work environment while maintaining strong communication with the team. Successful candidates will possess at least two years of warehouse experience, ideally within cooperatives or other agribusinesses, and should be enthusiastic about working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring adherence to quality standards and established procedures
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with digital records on shared drives
- Provide weekly updates on stock levels to the sales team and production manager
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including scheduling pest control and fumigation
- Perform spot checks on grain for quality and purity
- Operate and maintain the corn drying machine, ensuring proper corn conditioning
Order Fulfillment:
- Prepare outgoing orders, adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles
- Update inventory records in both digital and physical formats
- Obtain customer signatures on delivery notes
Corn Conditioning:
- Check grain moisture levels upon arrival
- Operate, load, unload, and bag dry corn
- Organize conditioned corn into customer-ready stacks
- Receive comprehensive training from the production manager on operating the sensitive corn drying machine
Seasonal Worker Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of at least 6 seasonal workers
Qualifications
- Proven work experience in an agribusiness environment (6 months minimum)
- Fluency in both English and French (oral and written)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong analytical and technological abilities (proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Docs)
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus
