 SUDAHSER Foundation is looking for 68 ENNUMERATORS

Location(s): Bui, Donga Mantung, Menchum, Mezam, Momo, Ngo Ketunjia and Boyo

Background:

SUDAHSER Foundation in partnership with WFP are looking for individuals with a background and interest in DATA Collection for the position of enumerator to support targeting of 54,000 households in targeted communities in Bui, Donga Mantung, Menchum, Mezam, Momo, Ngo Ketunjia and Boyo divisions in the North West region of Cameroon.

Role Purpose

Under the direct supervision of the Team leader and divisional coordinators, the enumerators will be responsible for targeting of beneficiaries (54,000 households) based on vulnerability to food insecurity to qualify for WFP food assistance in the North West region.

Objective:
To provide WFP with a revised list of vulnerable households that are deemed vulnerable enough to receive food assistance, as per the criteria that will be provided by WFP.

Responsibility:

  • Provide standardized and reliable information to all stakeholders (authorities, traditional and religious leaders, representatives of local committees, civil society, communities, etc.) on the targeting / registration process, the feedback and complaints tools, etc….
  • Will be responsible for physically identifying and registering vulnerable households in the priority communities that meet the list of criteria identified by WFP.
  • Collect reliable and complete information on beneficiaries; and
  • Effectively manage complaints from beneficiaries and ensuring the process of targeting does not feed or trigger tensions.
  • Take lead in all stakeholder sensitization and mobilization to ensure vulnerable households are registered through a transparent and accountable manner in full respect of all humanitarian principles and as per approved target and based on required food assistance standards on vulnerability to food insecurity criteria;
  • Respect the confidentiality of any information pertaining to any individual or group of beneficiaries of activities governed by this Agreement. The contents of any files, including computerized databases, can only be released to persons outside the Partner’s staff, if such persons have been duly authorized by WFP to receive such information; and
  • Ensure that beneficiaries are treated as per the humanitarian principles.
  • Ensure handling and filling questionnaires through digital device (tablet) and ensure all information on each survey is accurate prior input into the database,
  • Collect complains via the channels monitored by the SUDAHSER and help in the verification and resolution of complains received.
  • Submit completed tasks on time and discuss with the supervisor highlights, notes and protection cases on a daily basis (i.e. total sites visited, challenges, protection cases),
  • Regular (preferably daily) submission of complaints and feedbacks collected on the field via the electronic template which will be provided.
  • Interview heads of families targeted under this WFP response and enter their data in a corporate beneficiaries’ database.
  • Conduct regular quality checks during data collection, ensuring clarity, accuracy and consistency.
  • Work closely with WFP and SUDAHSER field staff to enhance effective coordination during the entire registration period.
  • Ensure all data collected is synchronized and reported to the Team Leader.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to the designated registration supervisor and the head of field office.
  • Be responsible and take appropriate care of the assigned equipment.
  • Answer, log, respond to, escalate, and manage queries from beneficiaries.
  • Analyze, categorize, and consolidate information about queries received and issues raised.
  • Any other duties assigned.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: At least a Certificate or Diploma in a relevant field or has currently completed at least 2 years of undergraduate degree i.e., continuing study in the following fields: Statistics, Data Management, Community Development, Nutrition, Public Health or other relevant fields related to data collection.

Language: fluency in both written and spoken English and Pidgin English. Knowledge of local language (s) also preferred.

  • Excellent and accurate data entry/collection and computer skills Experience in conducting household surveys, good interviewing skills.
  • Ability to travel into remote field locations, work under pressure. Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of county’s local context.
  • Experience utilizing computers
