The Role:
As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our operational processes, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to UCB’s high standards. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, driving continuous improvement and achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive operational policies, procedures, and systems to streamline workflow and maximize output.
- Manage and mentor a team of operations personnel, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels, efficient scheduling, and effective utilization of resources to meet operational demands.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including other departments and senior management, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and vendors to optimize the supply chain and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the operations function.
- Prepare and submit regular operational reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar operations management role, ideally within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant operational software applications.
