Key Responsibilities
As the Territory Sales Coordinator for Yakoua, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and maintaining brand leadership in your assigned territory. You will collaborate closely with Distribution Partners, wholesalers, and Point of Sale (POS) outlets to ensure that MTN products are available and well represented across all sales channels.
Your primary duties will include:
- Market Strategy & Implementation:
Develop and execute a retail-focused route to market for distribution partners. Implement initiatives such as visibility, merchandising, and loyalty programs to enhance revenue at all sales points. - Partner & POS Management:
Oversee and evaluate partner and wholesaler performance, ensuring the achievement of sales targets. Drive the execution of retail and wholesale channel initiatives, and ensure the availability of MTN products at all POS levels. - Sales Operations & Reporting:
Ensure the achievement of all sales KPIs in your assigned territory, including metrics like gross adds, sales, stock availability, and mobile financial services (MFS) revenue. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track performance trends. - Brand Leadership & Market Visibility:
Ensure that MTN’s brand maintains a strong presence across your region by executing trade marketing activities and monitoring brand visibility. Keep tabs on competitor activities and identify opportunities for improvement. - Training & Support:
Provide effective training on MTN’s mobile financial services (MFS) products and systems. Ensure that mobile agents meet trade marketing standards and organize training sessions for new products and services. - Market Intelligence & Improvements:
Gather insights on competitor activity and propose enhancements to MTN’s field activation procedures. Identify high-potential areas for MFS recruitment and develop plans to drive adoption.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- A minimum of a 3-year university degree in Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in the local language being a plus.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in Sales, Fintech, Trade Marketing, or Merchandising.
- Experience supervising others (including external stakeholders) is advantageous.
- Proven track record of working in a medium-sized organization.
- Familiarity with budgeting and demand planning processes.
