UNION CAMEROUNAISE DE BRASSERIES is hiring a Distribution Planner to oversee reverse logistics, container tracking, and route optimization.

Role Purpose
The Distribution Planner is responsible for ensuring the efficient recovery, tracking, and reconciliation of returnable assets. The role also involves optimizing distribution routes to maximize the use of return trips, while contributing to the company’s operational efficiency, financial performance, and sustainability objectives across short, medium, and long-term horizons.
This position carries full accountability for planning and optimizing reverse logistics operations related to returnable bottles, crates, and other reusable packaging materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate factory production plans into daily requirements for empty containers, categorized by glass type
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records of empty containers at each distribution center (including usable, damaged, and quarantined stock)
- Define and manage allocation flows: determine which distribution center supplies specific glass types to designated factories during each operational cycle
- Ensure that returned glass complies with factory quality standards; isolate and redirect non-compliant items
- Communicate any shortages or quality concerns to production teams, distribution center managers, and SCTL
- Develop weekly recovery performance indicators, conduct loss analysis, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of logistics regulations and asset control practices
- Demonstrated leadership and coordination abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven mindset
- Good knowledge of internal procedures and operational standards
- High level of accuracy and technical rigor
- Strong reporting and documentation capabilities
- Ability to enforce compliance and ensure effective follow-through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant digital tools
