In order to meet the needs and requirements of Plan International’s human resources management, all HR files are centralized at the country office. This means that an efficient filing and archiving system for recruitment and personnel files must be in place.

Plan International Cameroon is seeking to recruit interested candidate to fulfill the position of Human Resources Assistant (Intern) that will deliver the tasks outline below;

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the authority of the Country HR Manager, the professional HR Intern will among other tasks perform the following tasks:

  • Manage the updating of all staff files and recruitment files;
  • Provide support in staff recruitment activities (filling …);
  • Provide support in Manage staff leave records;
  • Ensure adherence to HR policy and practices, consistent with global policy and compliant with local statutory and legislative requirements;
  • Assist in the administration of staff files at the National social insurance funds (CNPS);
  • Provide Support in managing staff insurance;
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

ABOUT YOU

Knowledge, Skills, Behaviours, and Experience Required to Achieve Role’s Objectives:

Qualification and Experience

  • Degree in Human Resources or Law or equivalent
  • A good mastery of computer will be an asset
  • A previous working experience as Intern in an HR will be an asset
  • Good written and/or spoken English language

MADE IN RWANDA –Africa Blockchain Incubation Program 2021

Applications are open for the MADE IN RWANDA – Africa Blockchain Incubation Program 2021. This is a structured Incubator Program focused on grooming the African Blockchain StartUps. This time, the theme will be focused on: “MADE IN RWANDA,” to spark creativity and ideas implementation around Distributed Ledger Technologies, currently missing or insufficiently present in the Local Innovation and Entrepreneurship Landscape.

The Incubation Program will support and develop these solutions-turn-to-StartUps in growing their business, strengthening their commercial viability and increasing their competitiveness in domestic and international markets. Ultimately placing Africa as not only a technology recipient, but also a major actor.

Focus Areas

  • Healthcare: Currently, we are in the era of Pandemic COVID-19, and Africa is lacking when it comes to keeping Health records, and solving counterfeit Pharmaceutical supplies. This is really affecting negatively health cases on the continent, but with a Blockchain solution, these problems can be reduced, plus building infrastructure supports for the distribution of COVID-19 Vaccines.
  • Agriculture: Commodity trading is very important for farmers, especially in most parts where they have been deprived their profits, and benefits, from their hard labour. Through a Blockchain based Commodity platform, this problem amongst others can be solved.
  • e-Commerce: Solving the problems around e-Commerce is enormous from payment, to deliveries, inventory, amongst other. Now, being a growing sector in the economy, building a Blockchain solution to solve these problems will greatly bring more revenue, and seamless services.
  • eSporting: Blockchain in Sports enhance fan interaction, streamline existing operations, and provide new revenue models. They raised this focus area, using local sporting teams as case study. Many people most times ignore them due to several reasons, but with the Blockchain Technology it opens up more opportunity for both the team, and fans, gearing more interest, and re-establishing the trust.
  • Financial Inclusion: The current challenges of traditional payment gateways possess more threats to businesses, also excluding others from access to financial services. With Blockchain Technology, that gap can be bridged with decentralized solutions.

At the end of the incubation period, participants will have built a StartUp, access to align partners for possible proof of concept co-design, and being connected with investments.

Eligibility
They are looking for ambitious individuals that are forward thinking, innovative, and ready to take up challenges in creating the next Big Thing. These individuals must be dedicated, and committed to the project, hardworking, and with strong backgrounds in computer science (with expertise in languages such as C++, Javascript, Python, and Solidity is an asset), mathematics, statistics, business/entrepreneurship, economics, cryptography, blockchain, and any other related fields.

More specifically:

  • A Citizen of the Republic of Rwanda
  • Priorities are given to Female Applicants.
  • Ages: 20 – 35 years.
  • Both idea stage and early-stage (1 year) companies are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong business case and market potential.

Nachtigal Hydro Power Company (NHPC) est une société Anonyme (SA) de droit Camerounais, détenue par Electricité de France (40%), la Société Financière internationale (20%), la République du Cameroun (15%), Africa(15%), et STOA  (10%)

Créé en 2016, NHPC a pour mission la conception, le financement, la construction de l’aménagement hydroélectrique de Nachtigal Amont et de la ligne de transport d’évacuation d’énergie. L’entreprise s’est également vue confier par l’Etat l’exploitation de l’aménagement hydroélectrique pendant 35 ans, s’installant ainsi comme un acteur pérenne du secteur électrique Camerounais.

Nachtigal est à ce jour le partenariat public privé le plus important dans le domaine de l’énergie en Afrique subsaharienne, financé à 24% par ses actionnaires et à 76% par emprunt

Cette magnifique aventure humaine et industrielle verra ses travaux démarrer au cours des premiers mois de 2019 pour une mise en service commerciale prévue fin 2023. Avec ses 420 MW Nachtigal sera alors la plus importante centrale de production du Cameroun fournissant une énergie compétitive, abondante (30% de l’énergie du pays) et sans aucune émission de CO(2)

Missions

Membre de la Direction Environnement et Social, la finalité du (de la) Cadre Biodiversité est d’assurer le suivi des actions biodiversité dans le respect des orientations stratégiques de l’entreprise et des exigences légales et réglementaires des normes Environnementales

Ses principales missions sont notamment de:

  • Contribuer au suivi du volet biodiversité des activités de construction
  • Contribuer au suivi du plan surveillance et de coordination environnementale dans le cadre du plan de Gestion environnement et social

Les principales compétences métiers attendues sont les suivantes:

 

  • Formation Bac+5 minimum en gestion de l’environnement avec une licence en Biologie-végétale
  • A minima 5 années d’expérience en gestion de l’environnement
  • Connaissance de la réglementation Camerounaise dans le domaine de la préservation de la Biodiversité
  • Connaissance des standards de performance environnementaux ( SFI, Banque Mondiale)
  • Connaissance de la gestion des risques de projet

Profil recherché
 

L’attaché commercial(e) doit avoir les qualifications minimales suivantes

  • Etre titulaire d’une licence ou équivalent en commerce, Gestion Commerciales, Management des unités Commerciales, Négociation et Relation client, Techniques Commerciales, Marketing commerce et ventes
  • Etre diplômé d’une école de commerce ou une faculté des sciences économiques
  • Avoir minimum 5ans d’expériences dans la vente et la commercialisation des produits
  • Avoir la maîtrise des outils informatiques (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Le bilinguisme est un atout
