MEXT (Monbukagakusho: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan) offers scholarships for studies in Japan to Cameroonians, Chadians, and central Africans in the following categories:
1. Research program for Cameroonians, Chadians, and Central Africans
- Start from September or October 2023
Qualifications and conditions
- Born on or after April 2, 1988.
- Have completed 16 years of schooling since elementary school or a degree holder before leaving for Japan. (For medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, or veterinary medicine, see the website below).
- Proficient in English and willing to learn Japanese.

2. Undergraduate program for Cameroonians, Chadians, and Central Africans
- Start from April 2023
Qualifications and conditions
- Born on or after April 2, 1998.
- Have completed 12 years of schooling since elementary school or degree holder before leaving for Japan.
- Proficient in English and available to carry out the academic studies in Japanese.

3. College of Technology program for Cameroonians and Chadians
- Start from April 2023

- Born on or after April 2, 1998.
- Have completed 11 years of schooling since elementary school or degree holder before leaving for Japan.
- Proficient in English and available to carry out the academic studies in Japanese.

The written examination scheduled for June will take place at the Japanese Embassy in Cameroon.

- Maîtrise de l’anglais et désireux d’apprendre la langue japonaise.
