For our Cameroon Country Office, we are seeking six (06) enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate Archivist Interns who are eager to join a reputable international conservation organization. This opportunity will serve as a solid foundation for building a successful career in the field.

Title: Archivist Intern – Exciting Opportunity to Make a Difference

Reports to: IT Advisor and Program Managers

Location: Yaounde (02), Mambele (01), Ngoyla (01), Campo (01), Limbe (01)

Duration: Until June 30th, 2024

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. File Management and Organization
  • Classify files to be archived and rename them according to the designated naming convention.
  • Reorganize files into the appropriate folder structure.
  • Convert files to new formats if necessary.
  1. Documentation Collection and Analysis
  • Collect relevant documentation for archiving purposes.
  • Analyze documents and disseminate information as required.
  1. Scanning and Cloud Upload
  • Scan physical documents for digital archiving.
  • Upload scanned documents into the cloud-based system.
  1. Archiving Plan Development
  • Develop a comprehensive archiving plan for both physical and digital documents.
  1. Archiving
  • Execute the archiving process for both physical and digital documents.
  1. Additional Tasks
    • Assist with any other tasks as assigned by line management.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong archiving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Adherence to WWF’s core values: Respect, Courage, Integrity & Collaboration.

Please note that the start date for this position is contingent upon funding.
