Call for Applications: External Auditor

Street Child, a rapidly expanding international charity focused on children’s welfare, was founded in 2008 with a firm belief in the fundamental right of every child to safety, education, and learning, particularly in challenging environments and crises. Our approach revolves around collaborating with a growing network of over 150 local organizations, emphasizing the vital role and impact of grassroots initiatives. This commitment has been at the core of our work since our inaugural partnership in Sierra Leone. Presently, Street Child operates across more than 26 countries spanning sub-Saharan Africa, South America, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, specializing in education, economic empowerment, and protection initiatives. Our interventions are holistic, integrating education and safety measures to address complex challenges and ensure children have access to learning opportunities. We actively seek out situations where urgent needs exceed available resources, often being the sole lifeline for children in dire circumstances. Our priority is reaching the most marginalized children, those at greatest risk of being left behind.

In our quest to make education accessible to every child, Street Child’s projects blend education, child protection, and livelihood support to tackle the multifaceted issues underlying today’s educational crises. We collaborate closely with local organizations and communities to implement programs tailored to their specific needs, leveraging evidence-based approaches to drive continual improvement and maximize impact efficiently. We pride ourselves on venturing into the world’s most challenging environments, including remote and disaster-affected regions in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, where our presence is often the only hope for marginalized communities. Since our inception in 2008, Street Child has enabled over 250,000 children to attend school and learn, while also assisting over 25,000 families in establishing businesses to cover educational costs.

At Street Child of Cameroon, our efforts in these areas are purposeful and strategic, aimed at expanding our impact by reintegrating more children into safe environments where they can reunite with family, attend school, and be shielded from violence, exploitation, and other societal challenges. We collaborate closely with local organizations and government entities to address barriers hindering children’s development and well-being, empowering parents and caregivers with financial resources to sustain their children’s education and offering crucial child protection services.

Street Child of Cameroon harbors aspirations to broaden its reach beyond current operational regions, serving as a trusted partner to organizations like UNICEF, FIFA, Book Aid International, the UEFA Foundation, and various institutional donors.
