Incoming Mobility Grants To Study In France for 2024

Research Mobility Grants at University of Brest for International PhD Students (2024-2025)

The University of Brest (Université de Bretagne Occidentale, UBO) is offering mobility grants to international PhD students for the 2024-2025 academic year. These grants support research visits at UBO to conduct a research project in France.

Incoming Mobility Grants To Stu for 2024 In France

Mobility Period

Research visits must be a minimum of 12 days (excluding travel) and a maximum of 3 months.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrolled in a PhD program outside of France.
  • Proposed research project aligns with a UBO doctoral school’s discipline.
  • Project endorsed by your home institution’s research unit and a UBO research unit that will provide scientific supervision.

Financial Support

The grant includes a monthly stipend of 800 euros for living expenses, plus a travel allowance (500 euros for Europe/North Africa, 800 euros for other regions).

Application Submission 

Applications were to be submitted electronically to mobilite.doctorant@univ-brest.fr with a copy sent to the relevant doctoral school at UBO.

Application Requirements

  • Completed and signed application form.
  • Detailed curriculum vitae (CV).
  • Motivation letter.
  • Project description highlighting its relevance to your thesis.
  • Letter of support from the UBO research unit director and/or supervisor.
  • Balanced project budget (expenses/income), prepared with assistance from the UBO research unit director.
  • Bilateral or hosting agreement (if applicable).
