United Bank for Africa (UBA) is recruiting an IT & Digital Banking Control Officer For his activities in Cameroon.
Job Purpose: Support the execution of the Internal Control mandate by evaluating and enhancing the Bank’s information systems controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation and periodic update of the annual Internal Control strategy and work plan, in collaboration with the Head of Internal Control.
- Participate in system reviews, redesign efforts, and system upgrade/implementation projects to ensure that appropriate control measures are effectively integrated and applied.
- Monitor the security and control measures embedded within the Bank’s IT infrastructure and digital banking platforms.
- Conduct periodic income assurance reviews in alignment with the bank’s pricing policies.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Head of Internal Control.
- Provide technical assistance to other departments as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, with relevant professional certifications such as CISA, ACA, CISSP, etc.
Required Experience:
- Minimum Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in IT Control or IT Audit within a banking environment, or a minimum of 5 years in a related non-banking sector.

- Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL Navigator)
- Audit Command Language (ACL)
- Windows and Unix operating systems
- Network and Security protocols
- Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
- Business Objects (BO)
- FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
- Microsoft Office Suite
