Our Mission
Grassland Cameroon specializes in food storage, drying, and distribution, sourcing products from smallholder farmers. We support these farmers throughout the growing season with input loans and training, enabling them to become more productive. Once harvested, we process the produce into standardized, graded products, which are then sold to customers across the country, ensuring consistent quality.
Position Overview: Sales Consultant
We are seeking a Sales Consultant who will be responsible for expanding and maintaining our client base within a designated territory. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about the 4Ps of marketing. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys establishing long-term client relationships, thrives in meeting personal targets, and has a strong desire to grow within the sales industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and expand the client base through daily visits and follow-ups, ensuring strong and lasting relationships within the assigned territory.
- Exceed personal sales targets and contribute to the sales team’s KPIs.
- Provide daily reports on field activities, covering customer needs, competitor actions, and opportunities for new products or services.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of product details, guiding clients in their purchasing decisions.
- Ensure the 4Ps of marketing (product, place, price, and promotion) are consistently applied across all sales outlets.
- Monitor stock levels, ensuring products are well-maintained, clean, undamaged, and within their shelf life.
- Stay informed about the company’s business environment and market trends to promote best practices in the field.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sales or related fields.
- Proven sales experience in modern consumer product markets, especially packed foods.
- Strong organizational and self-management skills.
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical conduct.
- Valid driver’s license (Category B) and thorough knowledge of Yaoundé roads.
- Fluency in English and French (both written and verbal).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically with a focus on the bigger picture.
