Key Responsibilities
As a Legal Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization’s legal operations run smoothly. Your main duties include:
- Collaborating with top management to assess and manage insurance coverage.
- Proposing terms of reference for insurance consultations.
- Overseeing contract compliance and monitoring health insurance reimbursements.
- Ensuring timely reporting and follow-up on claims.
- Assisting in drafting commercial partnership agreements.
- Developing and managing service provision and supply contracts.
- Supervising contract execution and maintaining a secure contract archive.
- Managing legal aspects of the organization’s assets in Cameroon.
- Overseeing litigation management and preparing periodic reports.
- Establishing and maintaining a regulatory and legal monitoring system.
- Offering sound legal advice on various business matters.
- Safeguarding all property titles and deeds.
- Preparing and documenting Board of Directors (BoD) and AGM meetings.
- Drafting meeting minutes, completing related formalities, and ensuring proper archiving.
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Conducting risk awareness campaigns for stakeholders.
- Supporting the development and monitoring of the department’s budget.
Qualifications & Skills Required
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with:
- A Bac+4/5 in Business Law or equivalent qualification.
- At least 8 years of professional experience, ideally with a background in law firms.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a multicultural environment.
- Expertise in Cameroonian legal and tax regulations, with adaptability to updates.
- Knowledge of human resources management and administration.
- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) is mandatory.
