Ecobank Cameroon S.A. is Hiring a Regional Head for Wealth & Premier Banking

Job Purpose
Ecobank Cameroon is seeking a Regional Head for Wealth & Premier Banking, responsible for overseeing and growing the Wealth & Premier banking business across the entire national territory. The goal of this role is to expand the client base, foster deeper relationships, and strengthen Ecobank’s reputation as a leader in wealth management solutions. The Regional Head will drive efforts to increase market share and wallet share, aiming to position the bank among the top 3 in its region within 36 months.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business and Financial Performance
- Achieve revenue targets, profit before tax (PBT), assets under management (AUM), and balance sheet goals for the Wealth & Premier Banking segment.
- Develop and sustain a credible Wealth Management business, offering services like investment management, financial planning, bancassurance, tax advice, and estate planning.
- Lead regional and affiliate teams to optimize client acquisition, grow wallet share, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Maximize the use of digital channels to engage clients and streamline services.
- Build cross-functional synergies with Commercial and Corporate Banking to expand client reach and market share.
- Drive cost-efficiency and process simplification to improve the cost-income ratio.
- Increase revenue per Relationship Manager (RM) through up-selling and cross-selling.
2. Customer Excellence
- Develop and maintain high-performing client engagement teams, including Wealth Managers, Relationship Managers, and Financial Planners.
- Design and implement customer value propositions tailored to each affiliate in the region.
- Establish Ecobank as the bank of choice for High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI), as measured by Customer Experience (CX) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) ratings.
- Foster strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and business influencers to enhance service delivery.
3. Leadership and People Management
- Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities for team members across the region.
- Promote knowledge-sharing and the adoption of best practices across affiliates to drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and team cohesion to meet business objectives.
4. Process, Compliance, and Operational Performance
- Ensure compliance with all KYC, AML, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to Securities & Exchange regulations across affiliates for the distribution of Wealth Management solutions.
- Implement disciplined approaches to portfolio growth and target market segmentation.
- Ensure full adherence to Ecobank’s internal policies and procedures.
5. Strategic Initiatives
- Build strong, long-term relationships with at least 75% of the Wealth & Premier client portfolio.
- Focus on developing diversified client portfolios to mitigate risks and enhance long-term value.
- Lead strategic initiatives that improve Relationship Manager (RM) efficiency through digital tools, training, and process enhancements.
Job Scale
- Reports to: Host Affiliate Head of Consumer Banking (Direct Report) / Executive, Wealth & Premier Banking (Functional Report)
Job Profile
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within the financial services sector, with at least 4 years managing High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) portfolios.
- Certification in Financial Planning or Wealth Management is an advantage.
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant field is preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to deliver results and drive performance.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
- Experience in business development, portfolio management, or relationship management within a financial institution.
