Job Opportunity: Balance Sheet Management Officer

- Reporting To: Team Lead, Balance Sheet Management

Roles & Responsibilities
- Review branch, operations, and finance proofs, ensuring timely regularization of warehouse items.
- Provide complete documentation and address all audit-related concerns.
- Resolve audit exceptions (internal, external, and group-level) efficiently.
- Prepare and submit financial proofs before the 5th of each month.
- Analyze and adjust discrepancies identified in the Trial Balance.
- Ensure timely re-performance of TDs/BDC and OTA/TBs before the 20th of each month.
- Conduct financial control checks to ensure parallelism in accounting records.
- Process invoices within 48 hours of submission.
Required Knowledge & Expertise
- Banking structure, policies, and procedures (UBA-specific)
- Accounting and tax regulations
- Business risk management principles
- Data collection and financial analysis
Essential Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in the CEMAC accounting chart (PCEC)
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, OHADA)
- Ability to work independently and manage end-to-end processes with minimal supervision
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely and accurate account proofing
- Closure of all audit exceptions within the required timeframe
- Invoice processing within 48 hours
- Precise review and regularization of the Trial Balance
Educational & Professional Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance
- Professional Certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are an added advantage
Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a banking institution or audit firm
