About Plan International
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation dedicated to promoting children’s rights and achieving equality for girls. We believe in the inherent potential of every child, but we also recognise that this potential is too often hindered by poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination. Among those most deeply impacted by these issues are girls.
By partnering with children, young people, supporters, and stakeholders, we work towards creating a just world. Our focus is on addressing the root causes of the challenges faced by vulnerable children, especially girls. From the moment they are born until they become adults, we support their rights, preparing them to face crises and adversity. Through our extensive reach, experience, and expertise, we push for changes in policies and practices at the local, national, and global levels.
With more than 85 years of experience, we have mobilised a global community of optimists to transform the lives of children across over 80 countries.
We will continue working until equality for all is achieved.
