Organizational Overview

Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and development NGO established in Seoul, South Korea, in March 1991. Operating in 51 countries globally, the organization is committed to building a world free from hunger, where communities coexist peacefully and sustainably. Our mission is anchored in community development, with a strong emphasis on child protection and empowerment through self-reliant initiatives.

Good Neighbors Cameroon (GNCMR) began operations in 2014. With a headquarters in Yaoundé and field offices in Maroua and Mbalmayo, GNCMR leads development and humanitarian projects across various sectors, including Health (notably schistosomiasis and STH control, as well as nutrition), Child Protection, Livelihoods, Food Security, Education, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), and Environmental Protection. GNCMR partners with international bodies such as the United Nations and other INGOs to address development challenges and humanitarian needs through sustainable approaches.

Background and Justification

Over recent years, GNCMR’s Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Department has conducted deworming campaigns across the Centre Region of Cameroon. These initiatives are carried out in close partnership with the National Program for the Control of Schistosomiasis and Soil-Transmitted Helminthiasis (PNLSHI), as well as the Ministries of Basic and Secondary Education (MINEDUB and MINESEC), targeting school-aged children in educational settings.

The data collected during these mass deworming campaigns is systematically recorded and managed through the DHIS2 platform. In order to improve data accessibility, visibility, and effective utilization, GNCMR aims to strengthen the capacity of its staff in using DHIS2 tools and functionalities.

To this end, GNCMR seeks to engage an experienced DHIS2 Expert Consultant to lead a capacity-building session for relevant staff, ensuring that they are well-equipped to manage, analyze, and visualize data within the DHIS2 system in relation to the deworming program.

The Consultant may choose to collaborate with assistants or partners at their own discretion. However, Good Neighbors Cameroon will not assume any responsibility for these collaborators.
