Sun King is Hiring EB Programs Optimization Senior Associate, Bilingual.

  • Location: Douala, Cameroon

About the Team:

You will be part of the Programs team, which collaborates with various business units to revamp crucial business processes across West and Central Africa, fostering digital adoption within the organization. This team is instrumental in managing projects and pilots, overseeing business processes, and driving continuous improvement, while also offering valuable insights and recommendations to operations.

Role Overview:

The EB Program Optimization Senior Associate will liaise closely with the Operations and Sales teams to ensure smooth process execution in the field and address any technical issues related to both hardware and software. Additionally, they will manage the logistics of the Easy Buy business within the country. Occasional travel to the field, approximately 20% of the time, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management & Implementation
    1. Oversee and assess projects.
    2. Develop, evaluate, and adjust project plans as necessary.
    3. Analyze project data.
    4. Collect feedback and generate reports.
    5. Serve as a liaison to other departments, coordinating complex projects and providing clarifications as needed.
  2. System Administrative Activities
    • Create and edit user profiles, pricing groups, and SMS setups.
    • Archive inactive agents.
    • Resolve system-related user issues as required.
  3. Technical Issue Management
    1. Escalate and follow up on resolving agents’ system-related issues.
    2. Recommend software improvements or process changes.
    3. Raise tickets to the system support team and follow up on resolutions.

4. Product Replacement and Repair

  • Evaluates and troubleshoots malfunctioning parts.
  • Refurbishes damaged EB DTV components.
  • Documents and tracks each repair or refurbishment activity.
  • Maintains consistent communication with repair stakeholders worldwide.

5. Logistics Collaboration with Marketing & Operations

  • Procures tools and materials for agents.
  • Manages shipment of agent materials and coordinates with ABMs.
  • Oversees receipt and shipment of replacement components to ABMs/China.
  • Facilitates coordination between shops/branches on repairs and replacements.

6. Collaboration with Training & Knowledge Team

  • Provides technical assistance or help to field staff during training sessions upon request.
  • Shares Easy Buy operational knowledge with employees who need additional coaching.

7. Field Visits and Feedback

  • Conducts monthly field visits to gather feedback from Agents/ABMs/RBMs on field challenges.
  • Reports feedback and ensures follow-up actions are taken.

8. New Product Testing and Field Pilots

  • Tests new product releases, both hardware and software functionalities, in the office and field settings.
  • Conducts field pilots for new products/services after testing.

9. External Vendor Relationships

  • Builds and maintains strong commercial relationships with external vendors, such as software companies and pay-tv organizations.

10. Surveys and Feedback Collection

  • Collects comprehensive feedback from all relevant stakeholders during the product testing phase and generates a detailed report.

11. Sales Booklet Management

  • Collects and digitizes signed customer booklets.
  • Collaborates with shop managers nationwide to collect signed contract books and manages reverse logistics for archiving.

Inter-departmental Collaboration

  • Assists other departments as needed to achieve overall business goals.

Qualifications We Value

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is highly desirable, but we will also consider a Diploma or Certificate coupled with an additional two years of relevant experience.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification or similar qualification would be a distinct asset.
